Waterproof & non-itch Casting Materials
Commonly known as fibreglass or waterproof casting, it is used in the treatment of acute fractures to upper and lower limbs.
The latest non itch casting materials are used in conjunction with waterproof Gortex under cast padding allowing the patient to bathe or swim without the need to cover the affected limb.
Synthetic casts are 50% lighter, more comfortable, less irritable and more durable than traditional plaster non waterproof casts.
